It pops up above your prompt.
Cute outside. Safe inside.
It just watches Claude work and plays along. That’s all it can do.
No internet, no tracking. Nothing ever leaves your computer.
It reads its own pictures and keeps one tiny note in ~/.claude. Nothing else.
It just watches and plays along.
Claude Code verifies every download and refuses a fake.
floofbot is a fan project, not an official Anthropic product.

In Claude Code in a terminal that can draw pictures (the Kitty graphics protocol): cmux, Ghostty, kitty and WezTerm. Terminal.app, iTerm2 and VS Code’s built-in terminal can’t, and neither do the Claude desktop app or the VS Code extension — nothing breaks there, you just won’t see the bot.
No — it’s a fan project made by a Claude Code user, not an official Anthropic product.
Check three things: your terminal is one of the four above; Claude Code is up to date (claude update) — the bot is built on its new plugin hooks, tested on 2.1.301; and the window is tall enough, since the bot needs 5 free rows above the prompt.
“Install for you (user scope)”, the one already selected: the bot then shows up in all your projects. “Project scope” would add it to the repository for everyone who works on it.
No tokens, ever, and Claude never waits on it. The bot animates only while Claude is working; at rest it holds still, so an idle window costs next to nothing.
Just install the new one with its line from this page. The newest floofbot draws, and the one you had steps back and tells you how to remove it.
Type /plugin uninstall floofbot-clay-blob (your preset’s name) in Claude Code.
Where an organization manages Claude Code, permission-dialog events only reach plugins the organization lists. Everything else still works.
